First Philippine Industrial Park This industrial park was established in 1996. It comprises 349 hectare in city of Tanauan and Santo Tomas in Batangas. It currently homes 67 occupants, with 37 Japanese firms and approximately employs 30,000 individuals. The Project was a joint venture between Sumitomo Corporation and First Philippine Holdings Corporation. Clark Freeport Zone The Freeport Zone is a redevelopment of the former Clark Air Base, which is a former United States Air Force base in the country. Located in Pampanga, between Angeles City and Mabalacat, the zone is a former US Military base and has modern infrastructure facilities, professional support services and other amenities. The plan is to transform the 4,400-hectare main zone and 27,600 hectare sub zone into an airport-driven urban center. The development targets high-end IT enabled industries, logistic related businesses, tourism and aviation. Today, Clark Freeport Zone forms a great place for business, industry, aviation, tourism and education, as well as leisure, entertainment, fitness and gaming center of the Central Region. Subic Bay Freeport Zone Simply known as Subic Bay, SBFZ is the Philippine’s first successful case of a military base converted through volunteerism in a tax and duty free zone similar to Singapore and Hong Kong, operated and managed by Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority or SBMA. It is the first free post in the Philippines. It continues to be one of the country’s major economic engines with more than 700 investment projects, including the 4th largest shipbuilding facility in the world - Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction (HHIC) The property covers the area of former US Naval Base Subic Bay, surrounded by the municilaities of Subic and Ologapo City in the province of Zambales and Heromos and Morong in Bataan. SBFZ it is naturally sheltered from typhoons and effect of an eruption of nearby Mt. Pinatubo because of the mountain ranges around it and the deep natural harbor. These also provide excellent and protected anchorage. The Freeport Area of Bataan The Freeport is located within the municipality of Mariveles in Bataan. It has a total land area of 1,742.48 hectares and accessible by land, sea and air. It is under the administration of the Authority of Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB). The FAB was originally designed as an Export Processing Zone and its existing infrastructures include eleven Standard Factory Buildings (SFB) with three stories each and with total working area of 8,352 square meters per SFB. It is a home to over 50 locators engaged in manufacturing products for export. The enterprises in the Freeport employ more than 13,000 workers. Suntrust Ecotown Initially a 160 hectare property in Tanza Cavite, Suntrust Ecotown will be an environment friendly Ecozone Township, integration commercial, institutional and commercial developments within the light to medium industrial zone. The entire township is intended to cover a total land area of around 350 hectares. The project is the first Philippine Economic Zone Authority- accredited industrial park with lifestyle amenities and prospects for expansion.
